If you think you know all about John Stamos, just wait until you read his upcoming memoir titled If You Would Have Told Me, coming out next year! Naturally, he’ll be including his breakout role as Blackie Parrish on GENERAL HOSPITAL, so there should be plenty to learn about his time on the soap!

If You Would Have Told Me is the book I never planned to write,” Stamos said on Instagram, “but after losing Bob [Saget], finally becoming a father, and wanting to honor all the colorful people who have made me who I am today, I figured if not now, when?”

The actor says the book is about “Hollywood, fame, fortune, and f—ups. It’s also about home, heart, and healing. Redemption, then gratitude. “Honestly, while writing this book, I’ve realized I have about a million stories to tell, and I think you may like at least four hundred of them.”

With a career like Stamos’ there are certainly going to be plenty of stories to tell. Starting with his Daytime Emmy-nominated turn as Blackie on GH to playing Jesse on FULL HOUSE and later starring on ER as well as his roles on Broadway in shows like Bye Bye Birdie and The Best Man, plus his music career and working with The Beach Boys, this promises to be one jam-packed tome!

“Writing this book has been cathartic, healing, and sometimes heartbreaking,” Stamos admitted. “Something between a confession and a challenge to find grace in the smallest moments of our lives. I hope my memoir offers a window into my heart and mind and helps readers find little moments of magic that make life worth living. Get everything you want and live happily ever after, but have the humility to trust in something greater than yourself for guidance.”

If You Would Have Told Me is currently scheduled for release in fall 2023, so keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for future updates as the date gets closer and more details are announced!
