Jon Lindstrom Is Publishing His First Novel!

The good news is that GENERAL HOSPITAL star Jon Lindstrom (Kevin/Ryan) is going to be a published author! The bad news is that his first novel isn’t going to be out until 2024. “Feeling pretty good this morning as this is the news I woke to,” the actor announced on Instagram as he shared the Publishers Marketplace Deal Report. “A huge thank you to Liza Fleissig of the Liza Royce Agency and to Jess Verdi and everyone at Crooked Lane Books for inviting me on the journey of my life!”

Lindstrom’s novel is titled Hollywood Hustle, and is a crime thriller centered around a faded film star who enlists the help of a legendary Hollywood stuntman and a New Orleans-bred private eye to help rescue his daughter, who has been kidnapped by a murderous gang of misfits.

Although best known for playing twins Kevin Collins and Ryan Chamberlin on GH, the Emmy-nominated actor has also appeared in soaps like SANTA BARBARA, GENERATIONS, PORT CHARLES, and AS THE WORLD TURNS. In recent years, Lindstrom has stepped behind the camera, penning screenplays for some short films and co-writing the feature, How We Got Away With It, which he also directed.

“Now, I’ve turned to what first inspired my love of stories: Novels,” Lindstrom wrote on his website. “I decided to try my hand at this form that would allow me to freely experience the joy, as the great Isaac Asimov put it, as ‘the words appear on the page like magic.’ As a result, my first novel will be published in the near future, and hopefully one every year or so after that as long as I’m able.”

We can’t wait to read Hollywood Hustle, and if you can’t either, just keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for updates on Lindstrom’s progress and eventually, a publication date!
