GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Josh Swickard Is “So Excited” To Be a Dad!
Add GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Josh Swickard (Chase) and his wife, Lauren, to the list of couples who got pregnant during quarantine! Not only are the Swickards are expecting their first child, but Lauren is due to deliver their daughter in just over a month! “Josh and I have kept this secret long enough,” the mom-to-be shared in an Instagram post. “Our dream come true. Baby girl, we can’t wait to meet you. Six weeks until you’re here! We love you so much!”
In a coordinating Instagram post of his own, the GH star wrote that he was “so excited for this next chapter of life” with his beautiful bride, adding the hashtag #girldad. Something tells us that Baby Girl Swickard will have her daddy wrapped around her little finger in no time!
The couple first made their pregnancy announcement in a taped segment that aired on ACCESS HOLLYWOOD on Feb. 16. As the Swickards virtually chatted with hostess Sibley Scoles, Lauren revealed that they got pregnant during the filming of their huge Netflix hit film A California Christmas back in July. Filming on the huge hit’s sequel is set to commence this summer, just three months after Lauren gives birth — and she says that “there is a potential, maybe at the end” to have their reel-life alter egos, Callie and Joseph, follow suit.
The Swickards first met on the set of the 2017 film Roped, which premiered on Netflix to great success in early 2020. They tied the knot in an Old-Hollywood style wedding on July 6, 2019, in Cincinnati. They celebrated their first anniversary while filming A California Christmas over the summer, a movie that was a true passion project for the couple since Lauren wrote the script.
