It’s a blast from the past as Scotty Baldwin paid a visit to Blackie Parrish! Well, GENERAL HOSPITAL star Kin Shriner (Scott) swung by the home of friend and former castmate John Stamos (ex-Blackie) for a fun reunion that saw all kinds of shenanigans! “Hilarity ensued, naturally,” Stamos shared on Instagram. “We reminisced, we did Lightning Fit. We carted around the hood. Check it out!” He then added, “Anyone seen my Elvis shades?”
The sunglasses are just part of the hilarious montage of clips in the video both actors shared on social media. Shriner couldn’t resist pulling them out of the display case to attempt his best Elvis impersonations, though Stamos’ was a bit better! Fans will also really get a kick out of the framed GH poster Stamos has on his wall covered in farewell messages from his co-stars. “John, keep looking up to me,” Shriner reads, “I won’t let you down. Your pal, Kin.”
Stamos got his big break when he joined the cast of GH as Blackie Parrish in January 1982, earning a Daytime Emmy Award Nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 1983 and exiting the soap in 1984. The actor then found major success in primetime starring as Jesse Katsopolis on the hit ABC sitcom FULL HOUSE. Recently, he reprised the role on the sequel series FULLER HOUSE and has also appeared in BIG SHOT, YOU, and SCREAM QUEENS among others.
Shriner first appeared on GH back in 1977, and has come and gone over the years, taking roles on others soaps like TEXAS, RITUALS, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, and AS THE WORLD TURNS. But he has always returned to Port Charles and even brought the character of Scott Baldwin over to the short-lived spinoff, PORT CHARLES!
While the video of their reunion was awesome, it’s only a minute long and we wish we could have seen more of the shenanigans these two pals got up to that day! Oh well, maybe next time!
