Kirsten Storms Is Back at GENERAL HOSPITAL!

Great news for fans! Kirsten Storms is already back as Maxie on GENERAL HOSPITAL! The character left Port Charles in the July 19 episode to give the actress some time off from work so that she could undergo brain surgery to remove a non-cancerous cyst. But on July 30, Storms shared a selfie of herself to her Instagram Stories that showed her back at the ABC studio!

“Maxie’s back!” she wrote on top of the photo where you can clearly see behind her a monitor that reads “General Hospital,” “That’s a Wrap,” and “Good night.” So it looks like Storms snapped this particular pic at the very end of her first day back at work, and given GH’s shooting schedule, it means viewers should look for Maxie to be back on-screen sometime around the end of August.

Storms stunned her fans back on June 4 when she revealed that she had just undergone brain surgery but as the weeks went on, she kept her supporters up to date on her progress, which she was happy to report was going really well. In fact, she declared she’s experienced a “noticeable difference” in the symptoms that have been plaguing her for so long and caused her to seek treatment that led to the discovery of the cyst.

Maxie chose to leave town with her other kids to distance herself from her newborn daughter, Louise. Having made an arrangement for Brook Lynn to pretend that the little girl was her baby in order to protect her from Peter, Maxie’s constant visits to the Quartermaine mansion and hovering around “Bailey” were starting to raise eyebrows and threatened to expose their baby swap.

Now that Maxie is returning to Port Charles, will she be able to keep her distance from Louise? Because Peter could still be out there somewhere just plotting his revenge, and that innocent little girl would be the perfect target! Stay tuned to GH to see what happens next!
