Kristina Wagner Sends a Message to Fans Following Her Son’s Death

Tags:

For the first time since her son, Harrison, tragically passed away in early June, GENERAL HOSPITAL star Kristina Wagner (Felicia) has publicly spoken out, thanking her fans for all of their support over the past three months.

In an Instagram post shared on September 3, Wagner posted a photo of her smiling son, who is seen holding two beautiful bouquets while standing outside of a car window. The photo was taken several years ago on Mother’s Day, the GH star explained, and the lovely blooms were Harrison’s way of expressing his gratitude and love for her.

“A couple of Mother’s Days back, I drove up to Harrison’s place and he greeted me, ‘Thank you, Mom,’” Wagner wrote in the caption of the post. “I’m sure if he could show his face right now, he would join me in thanking you all for your love, condolences, and flowers. And I’m pretty sure he would say, ‘Thank you for taking care of my Momma.’”

Wagner’s post came just before the three-month anniversary of her son’s June 6 death. The younger of the two sons that the actress shares with her ex-husband, Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco, GH; ex-Nick, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL), 27-year-old Harrison was tragically found dead in a Los Angeles parking lot, having lost his battle with addiction. Following his death, his parents founded the Harrison Wagner Scholarship Fund with the New Life House Recovery Community, which is an organization that provides a community of support and structured sober living for young men struggling with substance abuse and addiction.

In late July, Jack shared a video message with his followers on social media, thanking them for their kind words and condolences as he grieved his son. The GH actress, however, had been silent on Instagram since before Harrison’s death, and her last Twitter post was in support of climate change, written the day before her son died. “I carry Harrison in my heart forever and the joy he radiated to others,” Wagner concluded her Instagram post. “He was a unique man indeed.”

Also on September 3, the actress tweeted a photo of a beautiful floral arrangement sitting on a table in her dressing room at the soap. Behind the flowers, Harrison’s laminated memorial card can be seen propped up on the mirror. “I walked into my dressing room at GH and it was filled with the fragrance of flowers. Thank you for your compassion,” she tweeted. “My son, Harrison Wagner, is and always will be a powerful presence in my life and in the lives of all who loved him.”
