Maurice Benard’s Secret Project Revealed — Watch the First Trailer!

Tags:

Well, GENERAL HOSPITAL star Maurice Benard (Sonny) has been teasing a secret project for a while now, and finally, he’s revealed what it is with a star-studded trailer for The Birthday Bash! The actor is celebrating his birthday on Monday, March 1, and that is the day that this short film will premiere! “This year, I wanted to do something for the fans on my birthday,” Benard said. “It was fun to see a lot of my friends acting outside the box and I hope you enjoy it too.”

Benard first began hinting at the secret project back in January when he did a State of Mind video with his son, Joshua, and they discussed working together on the film. Later that month, Réal Andrews (Taggert) shared some more information, revealing that Ian Buchanan (ex-Duke) was also in the cast and Benard was directing the Quentin Tarantino-esque production.

From the trailer, it would seem that Benard is playing a very dangerous killer who is celebrating a birthday and there is more than enough action and drama to go around. GH fans will spot Andrews and Buchanan playing detectives, as well as Kin Shriner (Scotty and Dominic Zamprogna (Dante), who gets so agitated that he angrily lunges at Benard’s character!

The trailer only gives a hint of the story but a good sense of the mood as GH fans can look forward to seeing some of their favorite daytime stars in a whole new light. Check it out below and be sure to mark your calendars for the first day of March when Benard celebrates his birthday and everyone can finally attend The Birthday Bash!
