N’neka on GENERAL HOSPITAL — Everything You Need To Know
The character of N’neka shows up on GENERAL HOSPITAL occasionally, and that’s made some viewers curious about the bartender and the actress who plays her. The character is named after the late N’neka Garland, who was a beloved producer at GH, and has been played on a recurring basis by Ariondriah Lenyéa since February 2021. Before appearing on the ABC soap, the actress had roles in some short films and appeared in the movies Dolemite Is My Name and Birds of Prey.
N’neka was first seen in February 2021 when Curtis Ashford and Portia Robinson went to a nightclub in Port Charles and she was working as a waitress. Taking a shine to the venue, Curtis purchased it and renamed it The Savoy. N’neka continued working there as a bartender and Curtis appreciated her help in July when she offered to help Trina Robinson clean up after she arrived at her graduation party after being covered in fake blood from a trap set by Spencer Cassadine.
When Curtis celebrated The Savoy’s grand opening, N’neka was on hand to help things run smoothly and met some of the guests such as Brando Corbin and Dr. Terry Randolph. While working a private party for Jason Morgan’s bachelor party, mobster Joey Novak crashed with some henchmen, and she was unable to get them to leave before a fight broke out.
When a clearly underage Esme Prince entered the club, Curtis and N’neka flipped a coin to see who would deal with her. N’neka lost and reported back to her boss that his instincts were correct, and that her ID was fake.
N’neka was a guest at Curtis and Portia’s Valentine’s Day wedding in 2023, and thankfully was at The Savoy closing up the joint when Curtis rolled in to drown his sorrows. She wondered why he was there on his wedding night, but he didn’t want to talk about it. So N’neka called up his father, Marshall Ashford, so he could come and talk to him.
