Parry Shen Is Coming Back to GENERAL HOSPITAL!

Tags:

All the talk of Brad Cooper’s upcoming parole hearing on GENERAL HOSPITAL isn’t just idle chitchat: It looks like Britt’s bestie — played by Parry Shen — will soon be released from prison and returning to Port Charles! According to Soaps.com, headwriters Dan O’Conner and Chris Van Etten teased that Brad’s “return to the canvas will have profound and surprising effects in many different quarters.”

As viewers will recall, Brad has been in prison for the past year and a half for his role in the baby swap that saw him and Lucas adopting Michael and Nelle’s biological son, Wiley. But with Brad’s parole date quickly approaching, he recently got some support from his aunt, Nina Wu, who asked Sonny to not interfere with her nephew’s chances of possibly being released. (Brad’s father was Kim Wu, the son of legendary Port Charles mobster Mr. Wu, and he was adopted by the Cooper family after his mother died during childbirth.)

Sonny promised Ms. Wu — one of the other Five Families leaders — that he would leave her nephew alone so long that Brad stayed away from his family in return. Michael, however, wasn’t too thrilled by the idea of the guy walking free and told Sonny that he’d be speaking at Brad’s parole hearing. “Brad could be seen as a threat,” teased the GH scribes.

Although O’Connor and Van Etten didn’t specify when the character would be back on the screen, there’s a good chance that Brad will be seen before November Sweeps comes to an end. Shen has yet to publicly confirm that he’s headed back to GH, but he hilariously trolled some haters on social media last week who weren’t so keen on his character’s possible return.
