Parry Shen Trolls His GENERAL HOSPITAL Haters and It’s Hilarious!
Anyone who follows GENERAL HOSPITAL actor Parry Shen (Brad) on social media knows what a fantastic sense of humor the guy has. And he also enjoys poking fun at Brad’s haters online. “Trolling,” he laughed on Instagram. “One of my favorite pastimes.”
Since his introduction back in May 2013, Brad Cooper has had his fans, but the scheming hospital lab tech also stirred up plenty of trouble that upset a lot of viewers. Especially when he agreed to a baby swap with Nelle and Brad and Lucas wound up raising Michael’s son, Wiley, for… well, the fans would tell you for far too long!
Brad went to prison for the baby swap, but he’s made the occasional appearance, usually to visit his BFF, Britt. And in recent episodes of GH, his aunt, Mrs. Nina Wu, spoke to Sonny about helping him get parole. Sonny refused, but agreed not to seek repercussions on Brad if he’s released on his own. However, when he later shared that news with his son, Michael was less on board with the whole “no retribution” thing.
Soap fans have never been shy about voicing their opinions on social media, and while it can sometimes turn a little nasty, Shen is having fun with all the Brad haters out there on the internet. When one soap website tweet asked if fans were ready to get Brad out of prison and back home in Port Charles, a fan responded with two thumbs-down emojis. “Thank you!” Shen replied. “Oh, wait — I had my phone upside down.”
And when we here at SoapsInDepth.com shared a link to a story about Brad on our Facebook page, one reader declared: “Never ever liked him” with a couple of red angry face emojis for emphasis. So Shen jumped into the Facebook comments with fans to joke: “Well, I suppose that’s better than ‘Never, ever, ever.” And when a more positive fan wanted the actor to know how much he is loved, he replied, “I do. Even from the ones who don’t — because I’m borderline delusional.”
