GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Rebecca Budig and Jophielle Love Together Again!
Pint-sized GENERAL HOSPITAL star Jophielle Love (Violet) turned seven years old on May 20, but didn’t just celebrate one day! “What a great birthday week I had!” she enthused on Instagram. “Thanks, everyone for all the kind wishes! Sending everyone a big Jojo hug!”
For Love’s actual birthday on Thursday, she blew out candles on some cupcakes with her family (and more via Zoom!) but over the weekend she had a bigger celebration outdoors where everyone could gather more safely to enjoy a proper party! And the day also included a very special treat — a visit from her TV mom, Rebecca Budig (ex-Hayden)! “Always a joyful day when we get a chance to hug each other,” she shared. “What a nice birthday I had with Rebecca.” In response, Budig declared: “I can’t believe you are seven! And I can’t wait to see you again soon.”
Love first joined the cast of GH back in October 2019 when Hayden revealed her to Finn and explained that she was their daughter. Unfortunately, by November, Hayden was forced to skip town to protect her little girl because she thought her life was in danger! Since then, Violet has gotten to know her grandparents Gregory Chase and Jackie Templeton, as well as her uncle, Harrison Chase (who may actually be her brother, but since it’s all a bit complicated, they’re leaving the kid in the dark about that one!).
Though Violet has plenty of family in Port Charles, fans have spent the past year or so wishing for Hayden’s return to the soap to bring mother and daughter back together again. Hopefully, that will happen one day, but until then, we just have to take heart that the actresses themselves are keeping in close contact! Keep watching GH to see if they reunite on screen again!
