Rebecca Budig Shares Great News With Fans!

With all the talk of Hayden recently on the soap, fans are still hoping that Rebecca Budig will return to GENERAL HOSPITAL to reprise her role again. And unfortunately for those fans, they can’t even really keep up with the actress on social media as she is not very active online.

“I know I don’t post a lot on here,” Budig admitted on Instagram. “Mostly because social media is not my thing. While I do have my gripes about it, I also understand that it’s a space that can bring people together.”

She continued by assuring her fans that even though she’s not very interactive, she very much appreciates them. “Even though I am terrible at responding to comments, I do try and read each and every one,” Budig promised. “The past couple of years have been busy in myriad ways… which is why I have decided to take a stab at sharing more on here. Thank you for following along… and for your support.”

Fans are still waiting for Hayden to take her life — and daughter — back.ABC

Budig made her daytime debut well before social media was a thing when she played Michelle Bauer on GUIDING LIGHT from 1995-98. Of course, her most famous soap role was ALL MY CHILDREN’s Greenlee Smythe, which she played from 1998-2005 and again from 2008-11, when the ABC sudser went off the air. Budig joined the cast of GH in 2015, but was written out in 2017. She returned in 2019, but only for a few months before the character was once again ushered off the canvas.

While many soap stars are very active on social media, keeping their fans up to date on whatever happens to be going on in their life and career, Budig has only been posting to Instagram once or twice a month. And on Twitter, she’s even less active — she’s only posted twice so far in 2021.

We’re sure her fans are looking forward to seeing more of Budig on Instagram as they continue to hope for news of her return to GH. And if you’re not already following her, just click here and click that “Follow“ button!
