When it was reported that Sawandi Wilson had been cast as Isaiah on General Hospital, fans wondered how his character would tie into the canvas. And when he debuted in the Aug. 26 episode, it became clear that he was a doctor in a dangerous situation with mercenaries that Lucky was trying to rescue!

The day after his first episode of GH aired, Wilson shared a selfie video on Instagram where he thanked his supporters and expressed his excitement for what was to come with his new gig.

“I just wanna say thank you to everybody who supported me from the very beginning,” he declared, From Battle of the Year to Harlem to La Casa de las Flores — Qué onda, Mexico? [What’s up, Mexico?] — to now, General Hospital.

“I’m really excited, guys,” Wilson added of his new role. “Everybody’s been amazing and I got to do some really cool stuff. So tune in and take a look. Peace.”

If Wilson looks familiar, you might have seen him in television series like Law & Order: SVU, Bull, The House of Flowers, and Star Trek: Discovery or in movies like Second Chance Christmas, Isn’t It Romantic, and Follow Her.

On GH, Lucky remained behind after sending Isaiah to freedom, but also urging him to contact the WSB to send someone to help. With Laura and Kevin already on their way to Africa on a rescue mission, it seems likely that everyone will soon be returning to Port Charles. Perhaps General Hospital might have an opening for another doctor? We’ll just have to stay tuned to see how things turn out!
