GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Scarlett Fernandez Badly Injured

Please join us in sending love and wishes for a speedy recovery to GENERAL HOSPITAL child star Scarlett Fernandez (Charlotte), who is recovering from a very serious bike accident that left her hospitalized for days. “Wishing this was part of a GH script,” she shared on Instagram with a photo of herself in her hospital bed with both arms propped up in casts and a scab on her chin.

“Last weekend I was in a bike crash,” Fernandez revealed. “I had surgery on both arms and stitches on my chin and I spent a couple days in the hospital. Next up, fixing four broken teeth (my molars, luckily). Extremely grateful for my helmet, the paramedics, the ER staff, the nurses and doctors at the hospital I was transferred to, the therapy dog that visited me, and my surgeon. Not the way I wanted to spend my summer, but I’m happy I’m feeling better each day.”

Her former GH castmate TK Weaver (ex-Danny) knows something about bike accidents, having been in a very serious one himself earlier this year. “I met this amazing girl, Scarlett, on set,” he shared on his own Instagram with an old pic of the pair. “We were both so little. She is super fun and sweet. We hit it off immediately. Please check out her recent post and keep her in your prayers. She is a good friend and I’m so sad she also had a bike accident this year.”

Fernandez’s Instagram comments were flooded with love from fans and friends, including many of her GH co-stars. “Oh my sweet Scarlett,” posted Cynthia Watros (Nina). “Giving you the biggest hug. My heart stopped while I was reading this… can’t wait to see you again!” Fellow young actor Hudson West (Jake) wrote: “OMG! I’ve been out of the loop. What happened?! I hope you heal quickly and painlessly.”

Get well soon, Scarlett!
