GH’s Scarlett Fernandez Shares an Update on Her Recovery
Good news! Young GENERAL HOSPITAL star Scarlett Fernandez (Charlotte) is on the mend and doing much better following a serious bike accident the weekend before the Memorial Day holiday that left her hospitalized and requiring surgery on both of her arms. The cutie shared a smiling snap of herself wearing casts covering both arms fully (already filled with signatures, naturally) and wearing a shirt that cheekily declares: “I do my own stunts.”
“It’s been 18 days and I’m doing much better thanks to your thoughts, prayers, and well-wishes!” Fernandez announced. “Hoping to move into shorter casts next week. I’m looking forward to doing some things on my own! Thank you for the shirt, Jeremy Irwin!”
Fernandez is looking much better than in the photo shared shortly after the accident where she was laid up in the hospital. In fact, you can’t even see the stitches in her chin! And fans weren’t the only ones happy to hear this update — her fellow young GH castmates were also relieved to see her on the mend. “You sure make two casts look adorable!” declared Brooklyn Rae Silzer (Emma). Hudson West (Jake) added: “I’m so happy you’re feeling better and up and around!” Theo and Erik Olson’s (Wiley) mother runs the twins’ Instagram and wrote: “You are so strong and so brave!”
And TK Weaver (ex-Danny), who recently shared an update on his own recovery from a nasty bike accident he’d suffered earlier in the year, was glad to see her update. “You look amazing!” he exclaimed. “I’m so happy for you.”
Fernandez joined the cast of GH as Charlotte Cassadine back in October 2016 and quickly became a scene-stealer as the little troublemaker! Thankfully, Charlotte isn’t heavily involved in any of the drama going on in Port Charles right now so the soap can simply wait for her to be fully healed instead of having to figure out a way to write her injuries into the show! Get well soon because we miss seeing Charlotte on TV!
