Watch Teresa Castillo in MADAGASCAR: A LITTLE WILD!

Fans can look forward to seeing GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Teresa Castillo (ex-Sabrina) in the new series MADAGASCAR: A LITTLE WILD, available to stream now on Hulu and Peacock! Well, that’s not necessarily true, as you won’t actually see the actress at all since it’s an animated series, but you’ll definitely hear her every time the character of Gina speaks! “You can catch my very first animated role,” Castillo said on Instagram. “Introduced in episode two. So much fun playing this character. Thank you, DreamWorks! Grab your littles and enjoy this adorable show!”

A LITTLE WILD is the third TV series in the Madagascar franchise and serves as a second prequel to the first film. It features younger versions of Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Gloria the hippo, and Melman the giraffe living in a rescue habitat at the Central Park Zoo. In episode two, “Melman at the Movies,” Gina is a female pigeon introduced as the friend of Ant’ney, a pigeon friend of the zoo crew.

Santiago started her career with guest appearances on primetime series like 90210, BONES, and HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER before joining the cast of GH in 2012. Sabrina Santiago was a fan favorite right up until the character was shockingly killed off in 2016. But the actress has kept very busy auditioning and performing and raising Victoria and Sebastian, her two sons with husband Shane Aaron.

While GH fans would no doubt love for some storyline twist to reveal Sabrina didn’t really die and Castillo to return to Port Charles, they’ll unfortunately have to settle for enjoying the actress’ performances in new projects like this animated series. Naturally, we’ll keep you up to date on any other roles Castillo lands in the future, so stay tuned!
