Who Was Tiffany on General Hospital?

Tiffany hasn’t been on GENERAL HOSPITAL in many years, but longtime fans will never forget the character! Actress Sharon Wyatt debuted in the role in July 1981 and remained until July 1984, returning for another stint from July 1986 until February 1995. In 2008, she made another appearance in the spinoff series NIGHT SHIFT, and her voice was heard on the phone in the May 21, 2021 episode of GH that paid tribute to the late John Reilly.

Tiffany Hill first appeared when Luke Spencer and Robert Scorpio were traveling to Greece to stop Mikkos Cassadine from freezing the world. A B-movie actress who was romantically involved with Victor Cassadine, she quickly changed sides and helped Luke and Robert save the day. She joined the pair when they returned to Port Charles and attended Luke’s wedding to Laura Webber.

With Bobbie Spencer out of the picture, Dr. Noah Drake turned his attention to the lovely Tiffany. But when she came back, Noah rekindled things with her, leaving Tiffany out in the cold. When things fizzled with Bobbie again, Noah returned to Tiffany, but she soon realized she was better off dumping him.

Sean Donley, who had been having an affair with Monica Quartermaine behind her husband’s back, was the prime suspect in Alan Quartermaine’s murder. He had just left Monica to begin pursuing Tiffany when he was arrested for the crime. Thankfully, Alan turned out to be very much alive, and Sean was able to start a relationship with Tiffany, who began working for the television station WLPC.

In 1988, Tiffany and Sean were married in a lovely ceremony at the Quartermaine mansion where everyone was amused to learn that her birth name was Elsie Mae Crumholz. Soon after, the Cartel poisoned Tiffany to force Sean into giving them information on Robert’s investigation into their illegal activities.

When her sister, Cheryl Stansbury, died in a car accident, Tiffany was upset to learn that she’d left her son, Lucas, to Bobbie, who had previously adopted the boy and raised him for a time. Upset, Tiffany fought for custody and things got ugly enough that it caused friction in her marriage to Sean. After losing the case, the couple continued drifting apart and Sean had an affair with attorney Jessica Holmes. But he soon returned to his wife upon learning that Tiffany was pregnant.

Jessica also claimed to be pregnant, and a devastated Tiffany went into premature labor and the baby died. She attempted suicide, but Bobbie and Tony arrived in time to stop her. When Jessica was murdered, Sean confessed to protect Tiffany but it turned out that Ryan Chamberlain was the real killer. With that behind them, Sean and Tiffany were finally able to repair their marriage.

In 1995, after being accidentally shot by Luke, Sean had to leave town to go to a treatment facility, and Tiffany went with him, having learned she was pregnant again. The couple returned to Port Charles in 2008 to support Robert as he battled colon cancer. They also told everyone that they had a teenage daughter named Anna “Annie” Donley after Anna Devane.

Tiffany has been mentioned a few times since then, like in 2019 when Jordan Ashford called Sean for assistance on a case and Tiffany admitted he was having memory problems and couldn’t help. Then, in 2021, Tiffany called Anna to let her know that Sean had passed away. During Sean’s memorial service, Laura called Tiffany and they shared memories of Sean. And once Annie had passed her final test to join the WSB, Tiffany called her daughter to congratulate her for following in her father’s footsteps. And in December 2022, Anna used her pal’s home in Ireland as a hideout while on the run from the law!
