Congratulations to GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Vinessa Antoine! Not only is the actress celebrating her birthday today, but word has come down that her CBS series DIGGSTOWN has been renewed for a third season! “Whoa, this birthday is getting better and better!” she enthused on Instagram. “Get ready for season three of DIGGSTOWN, baby! Ayee!”
After joining the cast of GH back in March 2014, Antoine exited the soap in the summer of 2018 to take on the starring role of Marcie Diggs in the primetime legal drama DIGGSTOWN, the first Canadian drama series to feature a black Canadian woman as its lead character. The second season aired its final episode in April and now the cast and crew are thrilled to be coming back for a third! Antoine’s former GH castmate, Cassandra James (Terry), who guest-starred in episode four of season two, exclaimed, “OMG! Incredible news! Congrats!”
For fans of the actress who don’t live in Canada, they are now able to watch her in DIGGSTOWN as the series was picked up to air on BET+, the network’s streaming service. So make sure you check it out and get all caught up before season three starts!
