Brook Lynn and Chase’s wedding on General Hospital was full of beautiful, emotional moments, and many fans were grateful they had tissues on hand while watching. But one moment in the May 15 episode, when Ned prepared to walk Brook Lynn down the aisle, really struck a chord, especially with Wally Kurth (Ned)!

When Maxie brought Brook Lynn out in her gown all ready to walk down the aisle, Lois and Ned were overcome with emotion. Asked by his daughter what he thought, Ned’s voice was thick with emotion as he declared: “I think… you are a sight to behold.”

“True story,” Kurth revealed on Twitter/X. “When I first read that line at home, I choked up. Every time I read it, I choked up. At rehearsal, I choked up. I told Amanda [Setton, Brook Lynn] before taping, I’m afraid when I do this, I’ll be too self-aware. I tried to stay in the moment. It was beautiful dialogue.”

As Brook Lynn’s cousin, Giovanni, played Bach’s “Hunting Cantata” on the violin (portrayer Giovanni Maza is a talented violinist as well as actor) and the wedding party began the march down the aisle, Ned shared a few more words with his little girl before she became Mrs. Harrison Chase.

“I don’t tell you enough how proud I am of you, Brook Lynn,” he said as he took her hand, tears in his eyes. “The woman you’ve become, the story you’ve already written for yourself. I can’t wait to see how the rest of it unfolds.”

When Brook Lynn asked if he was ready to give her away, Ned replied with the line that got Kurth seriously choked up: “I will walk you down that aisle, and I will hand you over to the man you love… but I can’t give you away. Because you will always be my little girl.”

If you’ll excuse us, we need another tissue…
