The new year brings with it new drama, and this new GENERAL HOSPITAL promo promises it’s going to be getting off to a great start! There’s a lot to unpack in this video, so let’s jump right in!

Curtis and Portia look to be kicking off the new year in a good place, having taken their relationship to the next level. “A new year,” he says to her as they lay in bed together, “a new start.” But how long will their happiness last when he’s still got his newly-returned father hanging around?

Carly wishes she had Jason to lean on as she reels from Sonny’s betrayal, but his twin brother might be just the guy to step in and take his place. “Is it possible that you blame yourself?” he asks her as he tries to offer her a shoulder to lean on. Meanwhile, Sonny spirals out of control and Nina is struggling to keep him under control. “Hi, honey!” he drunkenly shouts to the room as Nina looks on with tears in her eyes. “I’m home!” Can anyone get him under control?

Nikolas and Ava look nervous, and it’s likely because Victor is continuing to enact his plan to bring the Cassadines back to power in Port Charles. And whatever scheme he’s cooking up, he appears to need Valentin on his side. “So what do you say?” Victor asks his son. Will Valentin go along with his father’s plan or join Anna in trying to thwart it? And what has Laura so shocked she can’t even speak? Is it something Victor has done or has someone else done something horrible?
