Watch Phideaux Sing “Do What You Will” on GENERAL HOSPITAL

After the Nov. 11 episode, a lot of fans were wondering who this “Fido” was that singing on GENERAL HOSPITAL. Well, if you missed our previous article previewing his appearance, we’re happy to clear things up for you and also give you another opportunity to enjoy the fantastic performance of “Do What You Will!”

First of all, while it may be pronounced “Fido,” the singer’s name is actually Phideaux. And if that name sounds at all familiar, you may have seen it in the opening credits of numerous GH episodes before because Phideaux Xavier is actually one of the soap’s directors! But he’s also a talented musician, who fronts the prog-rock band Phideaux. They have eight albums available for streaming on music services like Spotify, including their most recent, 2018’s Infernal.

Unfortunately, the song that Xavier performed on GH, “Do What You Will,” is not yet available for streaming at this time because it was a brand new song that the director/musician actually finished up just in time to perform on the soap with musicians Paul Roessler, Kira Roessler, and Nathan Ricks.

Curtis introduced Phideau and the packed club enjoyed his performance including Port Charles faces Finn, Liz, Chase, Brook Lynn, Michael, Willow, Sonny, and Carly. The success of this show will likely mean even more musical acts being booked at The Savoy in the future, so keep checking back at SoapsInDepth.com for more information about those artists. And in the meantime, watch “Do What You Will” as many times as you want courtesy of the video below!
