William deVry Shares an Update With Fans

Although William deVry is active on social media interacting with his fans, they still miss seeing him on their screens. So the actor took to Twitter to offer an update for them. “Just a little note on the career side,” he wrote. “I’m getting opportunities and doing my best to get on your TVs again.

“I’ve been first choice, in the mix, availability requests, unanimous decisions, screen testing,” deVry continued. “You name it. Waiting for really good stuff. It just hasn’t gone my way lately.”

An episode of SEAQUEST 2032 launched deVry’s career back in the mid ‘90s and he appeared on primetime shows like POLTERGEIST: THE LEGACY, VIPER, NASH BRIDGES, EARTH: FINAL CONFLICT, and STARGATE SG-1 over the years. After a couple of episodes of PORT CHARLES, the actor made a splash in daytime as the villainous Michael Cambias on ALL MY CHILDREN. After a run as Storm Logan on CBS sudser THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, deVry went back to ABC to take over the role of Julian Jerome on GENERAL HOSPITAL in 2013. Sadly, the character was killed off in December 2020, leaving his fans disappointed

With COVID impacting audition procedures and productions all over, show business just isn’t the same as it was pre-pandemic But deVry isn’t giving up. His most recent work was in a March 2022 episode of the CBS primetime series NCIS: LOS ANGELES playing a Navy captain.

One fan replied to him on Twitter that he should try getting a role on DAYS OF OUR LIVES: BEYOND SALEM, and deVry pointed out: “Nothing is that easy. LOL.” And when another suggested he try creating some content on TikTok, he politely explained that the app isn’t really for him. “I love to act,” he declared. “I have a passion for that.”

But fellow GH alum Mark Lawson (ex-Dustin) was optimistic that things were about to change. “It’s coming,” he predicted. To which deVry responded: “The actor’s way.”

We’ve no doubt a talent like deVry’s won’t be kept down for much longer, so be sure to keep checking back here at for updates on where you can tune in and see him next!
