William deVry Teases His Exciting New Role!

If you’ve been missing seeing GENERAL HOSPITAL alum William deVry (ex-Julian) on your TV screens, well, you’re in luck! The actor will be appearing in an episode of the NBC primetime series QUANTUM LEAP! “Season two,” he shared on Instagram with a photo of his script. “Updates to come.”

Judging from the script cover, deVry will be appearing in the third episode of the second season, titled “Closure Encounters.” Unfortunately, as QUANTUM LEAP is still airing its first season, no further details about the episode’s plot or deVry’s character are available yet. A sequel to the ‘80s series, QUANTUM LEAP stars Raymond Lee as Ben Song, a physicist who becomes lost in time as he jumps into the bodies of different people and must set the timeline right before leaping into the next person, hoping to find a way back home.

After first playing Michael Cambias on ALL MY CHILDREN and Storm Logan on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, deVry joined the cast of GH back in 2013. His character of Derek Wells was soon revealed to be the presumed-dead Julian Jerome, and fans were disappointed when the soap killed him off in 2000.

The actor’s credits include appearances in numerous primetime series, starting with SEAQUEST 2032 in 1994 and going all the way to his most recent role as a Navy captain on an episode of NCIS: LOS ANGELES. In between, deVry could be seen on shows like HEMLOCK GROVE, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, NIKITA, STARGATE SG-1, and THE OUTER LIMITS.

At this time, there are still a few episodes left in QUANTUM LEAP’s first season, so there’s no air date set for the second season premiere, let alone the episode in which deVry will appear. So keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for further updates!
