GH’s Zakary Risinger Auditioned With a Fractured Collarbone

It’s been a while since viewers have seen Zakary Risinger on GENERAL HOSPITAL as Danny Morgan, but the young performer has been keeping very busy with his schoolwork and performing in productions of Grease and Newsies. And he still managed to pull off an audition even with a broken collarbone!

“This one worked really hard for something hopeful,” one of his parents shared on Instagram with a pic of Risinger standing outside of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. “After fracturing his collarbone last weekend he still went into his callback for his dream high school full speed ahead

“He has put in months of preparation for this moment,” they continued. “He came out knowing he left it all in the room and was absolutely vibrating with positive energy that he knew he gave them his best. Win, lose or draw, we are so incredibly proud of what you did today, Zakary. What is meant to be will be!”

Risinger took over the role of Sam and Jason’s son back in November 2021, though Danny hasn’t been seen much since then. But the young actor has been appearing in episodes of THEM and YOUNG SHELDON as well as the TV movie Scarlett while also attending school and appearing in stage productions.

While no details were given about how Risinger managed to break his collarbone, the previous weekend he shared a selfie with his father and younger brother from a chairlift adding that the afternoon skiing at Big Bear “ended with a little tumble.” Ouch!

We’re glad to hear that the injury didn’t interfere with Risinger’s callback audition and hope that we’ll hear some good news very soon that the talented young man has been accepted into the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts! (And maybe he’ll be able to squeeze in some more appearances on GH somewhere along the line!) Please join us in wishing him all the best for a speedy recovery!
