For decades, Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth Hayes have starred on DAYS OF OUR LIVES as Doug and Julie Williams, and for that accomplishment, the two actors are being honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2018 Daytime Emmy Awards. But the couple are also just as amazing off-camera with their real-life romance still going as strong as their TV relationship!
Susan joined the cast of DAYS in 1968, with Bill following in 1970, and the two fell in love both in front of and behind the cameras. Doug and Julie became the NBC soap’s first supercouple and even appeared on a 1976 cover of Time! In Salem, Doug and Julie were married in 1976, but in real life, Bill and Susan tied the knot in 1974. Join us in celebrating their unending love story and wishing them all the best!
