DAYS OF OUR LIVES Launches a Brand New Emoji App!
Fans of DAYS OF OUR LIVES will have a new way to enjoy their favorite soap with the brand new DOOLMoji app launching on Thursday, Sept. 21! “After more than a year developing and fine-tuning the emojis, we are excited to finally release the DOOLMoji app!” said DAYS co-executive producer Greg Meng in a statement. “We’ve created this for our family of passionate and loyal fans to express their thoughts and feelings about their favorite soap — whether they’re loving it or loving to hate it!”
Developed with Corday Productions, the DOOLMoji app is the soap’s first foray into the digital realm, and they’re promising more to come. DAYS is the first daytime drama to create emoji renderings of its popular characters to let fans use them through text messaging and various social media platforms. The first batch of emojis will include fan-favorite characters like Deidre Hall’s Marlena Evans, Kristian Alfonso’s Hope Brady, Drake Hogestyn’s John Black, Galen Gering’s Rafe, and Lauren Koslow’s Kate Roberts. In fact, Koslow is featured in the adorable teaser video for the app!
In addition to characters from the show, the app will also feature emojis of memorable moments, objects, or symbols, such as the infamous Sami/Carrie bitchslap of 1997 and Marlena’s demonic levitation of 1994. And of course the classic hourglass! Plus, this is just the first batch of emojis — more are planned for release later this year.
The app will be available for both iPhone and Android devices in the App Store and Google Play Store for just 99 cents beginning on Thursday, Sept. 21. For more information on the app, visit www.DOOLMojiApp.com. And for more DAYS news, keep reading Soaps In Depth magazine!
