NBC Wants To Renew DAYS OF OUR LIVES
Don’t worry, DAYS OF OUR LIVES fans, there’s a chance your favorite soap will continue!
With only four daytime dramas currently airing, the loss of another would hit soap fans hard. But TV Line is reporting that NBC is hopeful that they will successfully renew its contract with the network’s lone surviving soap.
“We’re happy with where DAYS was this year,” NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt says. “We have a negotiating period that starts in February. Stay tuned.”
DAYS celebrated its 50th anniversary on the air in November, and has seen a boost in ratings from recent storylines.
“I’m optimistic,” says NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke. “We need to negotiate with Sony [Pictures Television], but I’m optimistic. We would like the show back.”
