OLTL’s Erika Slezak Cast in ‘Next Stop, Christmas!’

Tags:

Fans will get to enjoy seeing daytime legend Erika Slezak (Viki, ONE LIFE TO LIVE) on screen again when the talented actress appears in the upcoming Hallmark holiday movie, Next Stop, Christmas! “It’s not a big part,” she shared on her website, “but a nice one, and we’ll be shooting in Essex, CT.”

Slezak became a daytime icon when she took over the role of Victoria Lord on OLTL in 1971. She portrayed the character right until the long-running soap aired its final episode on ABC in 2012 and even reprised her role for the sadly short-lived online revival in 2013. During those years, Slezak was nominated nine times for Outstanding Lead Actress at the Daytime Emmy Awards, bringing home the gold seven times, a record for the most wins by an actress.

The actress returned to television in 2018 with a guest role as Dr. Eileen Jacoby on FOX’s primetime hospital drama THE RESIDENT, and in 2019, could be seen in another guest appearance on BLUE BLOODS as well as in the film Guest Artist, working opposite actor Jeff Daniels.

Unfortunately, because Next Stop, Christmas is so early in production, Hallmark has not yet released any information about it, including a plot summary, who she’s playing, who else is starring in it, and when we’ll be able to watch it on TV. (Although given that it’s a holiday movie we’d expect it to premiere sometime during December!) So make sure you keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for the latest updates so you’ll know when to set your DVR. Because even in a small role, Slezak is going to be worth watching!
