Exciting news for fans of ONE LIFE TO LIVE star Erika Slezak (Viki)! Her official website, ErikaSlezak.com, is reporting that the veteran actress is returning to primetime again to reprise the role of Donna Duvall on BLUE BLOODS, a character she first portrayed back in 2019!
In the penultimate episode of BLUE BLOODS’ ninth season, Slezak appeared as Donna Duvall, the grandmother of Alexis Duvall, who was a thief and drug addict. After wanting to press charges against her granddaughter, Donna eventually forgave her but was heartbroken when Alexis overdosed before she could go to rehab.
“I worked with Len Cariou, who plays retired NYC Commissioner Henry Reagan on the series,” Slezak said at the time, “and Tana Sirois, a wonderful young actress, and a dream to work with. It was a long but wonderful day and the entire crew were all so terrific and easy and helpful. It was as if I had been back with our lovely people at OLTL, the best ever.”
Slezak earned a legion of fans — and six Daytime Emmy Awards — playing Victoria Lord on OLTL. And after the beloved soap came to an end in 2012, those fans were thrilled when she reprised the role for its short-lived online incarnation in 2013. Since then, those fans have followed Slezak as she has appeared in primetime series like THE RESIDENT, films like Guest Artist, and the holiday TV movie Next Stop, Christmas.
At this time, it’s too early to tell when Slezak’s new episode of BLUE BLOODS will air, so be sure to check back here at SoapsInDepth.com for updates as they become available and we’ll let you know so you don’t miss it!
