THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL Spoilers — 2020 Preview (EXCLUSIVE)

The competition’s getting fierce (really fierce!) on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL in the new year, both on the runway and in romantic dealings. Who will win and who will be left out in the cold? Executive producer and headwriter Bradley Bell weighs in!

Dueling Dressmakers!

There will be some major stakes at play during Steffy and Hope’s fashion showdown. With Sally designing in her corner, Steffy’s sure that her line will trump Thomas’ Hope For The Future creations. But her brother believes his line will win over critics… and Hope! “Thomas is determined to show the world that he’s a megatalent,” said Bell, “but Sally and Steffy are a formidable team.”

Can Zoe Steal Thomas’ Heart?

Thomas is on a mission to make up for all the messes he made in 2019. “His New Year’s resolution is to be a great designer, a better father and to have love and romance in his life,” Bell explains. Will that love come in the form of his ultimate dream woman, Hope, or someone else? “He’d love for it to be with Hope,” said Bell, “but if that can’t happen, then he knows life must go on. Zoe has been a friend, an accomplice and someone we’ve seen him grow very close to.” Who will ultimately win Thomas’ heart? Bell’s not spilling the beans but teases, “Thomas will find love in 2020!”

B&B Brooke Ridge

Brooke & Ridge: Destiny Or Defeat?

Brooke and Ridge rang in the new year knowing their marriage was at a critical impasse. “They’re struggling,” Bell acknowledged. “They’re deeply in love with one another, but Ridge is pleading with Brooke to give Thomas a second chance, and she’s having a hard time with that.” Whereas Ridge believes that Thomas’ show of being a better person is genuine, Brooke’s simply not buying it. “She sees Thomas as a deranged, evil, psychotic young man who is unstable and needs psychiatric help,” said Bell. And if you think Brooke hates Thomas now, the months ahead aren’t likely to soften those feelings. “Thomas and Brooke are going to be major rivals moving forward.”

Shauna Decides To Seize The Day!

Shauna’s smitten, and she’s keeping her eyes on the prize: Ridge! “Since 1987, Ridge has had an effect on women that’s hard to shake,” said Bell. “His mystique has not been lost on Shauna, and she would love to have a life with him.” Mere months ago, the sultry newcomer was a bit more reluctant to stake a claim on a still-married man, but the way she sees things shaking out between Ridge and Brooke, she believes he is now hers for the taking! “She wants to bring happiness, joy, and levity to his life, because Brooke is just not doing that,” noted Bell. “Life is short, and Shauna believes it’s time for Ridge to move on — with her!”

Quinn Will Have Her Bestie’s Back!

Brooke will be taking flak from all sides in the coming weeks and months, including from Eric’s wife! “Quinn sees herself as the Forrester matriarch,” noted Bell, “but Brooke is going to challenge that.” Quinn’s loyalty to Shauna means she’ll be inserting herself into the rivalry over Ridge. “We’re going to see sparks flying between Brooke and Shauna and Brooke and Quinn,” said Bell. “A lot of forces are going to be ganging up on Brooke, eager to get her out of Dodge.”

Wyatt’s Decision Makes Waves!

Wyatt’s romantic travails may appear to be resolved, but don’t bet on anything just yet, cautions Bell. Unresolved feelings for both Sally and Flo will continue to create problems for the guy, whether or not that’s his intention. “Though he’ll have made a very definite decision in the beginning of January, there’s going to be a very special twist,” says the exec. “Drama will unfold as a result of his choice!”
