Soap fans have loved watching Ashley Jones on screen in roles like Megan on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, Bridget on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, or Parker on GENERAL HOSPITAL, but now she’s stepping behind the camera for the first time! “Tonight will end my first week as a first-time director!” she enthused on Instagram at the end of July. “A long way to go, but will feel good to get the first week in the can. Seems surreal. Hardest work I have ever done and I’m loving every second.”
In a follow-up Instagram post on Aug. 18, Jones shared some backstage videos, one of which included the title of the film, which is Sugar Mommy. Although if this is one of those Lifetime movies, that title is definitely subject to change! “I look forward to sharing all about it soon,” she wrote. “But, I can say I had a small acting part in it. Last video is me multitasking in hair and makeup. Thank you for all your kind encouragement and support through this journey!”
Jones has reprised her role of Bridget Forrester on B&B for a handful of appearances in the last year or so, and has also been popping up in primetime in series like MAJOR CRIMES, 9-1-1, the rookie, and most recently a four-episode run in ALL RISE. The actress has also starred in TV movies like Homekilling Queen, and Saving My Daughter. Now, after years in front of the camera, Jones has taken the helm herself!
