B&B Casts Laneya Grace as a New Forrester!
Shortly after it was revealed that The Bold & The Beautiful was looking for a new young leading lady in the 18–20-year-old age range comes word that the soap has cast Laneya Grace in the contract role of Electra Forrester!
According to Soap Opera Digest, the daytime newcomer began taping scenes this week and is set to make her debut on the Tuesday, Oct. 22, episode. While Grace will be creating a new character, Electra already has several familial ties to the canvas: She is the granddaughter of Eric’s brother, John, previously played by the late Fred Willard.
Electra’s arrival in town is connected to the return of her Aunt Ivy, played by Ashleigh Brewer. After originally playing the role of John’s daughter from 2014-’18, Brewer briefly returned to B&B this past spring. However, it’s not clear if the Australian actress’ upcoming comeback is another quick visit or if she will be around for a longer stretch of time.
As for Grace, while originally from the San Francisco Bay area, she later moved to Texas. An experienced model and actress, she has been working since she was a young child and has appeared in commercials and print campaigns for brands like Old Navy, Guess, and Maleficent Toys. Back in 2013, Grace appeared in the music video for Avicii’s hit song “Wake Me Up” and she will make her feature film debut alongside B&B alum Pierson Fode (ex-Thomas) in the upcoming movie 72 Hours, slated for a theatrical and on-demand release Nov. 1.
The 20-year-old is also a social media content creator, with over 26K followers on TikTok and nearly 300K on Instagram, where she expressed how thrilled she was about her new role. “So excited that I finally get to announce this,” Grace wrote.
