B&B’s Heather Tom on Katie & Bill’s Future

Bill and Katie have had quite the roller coaster relationship on The Bold & The Beautiful, tying the knot twice, but then also divorcing twice. But they have always had a connection, and not just through their son, Will. That’s why Katie was so insistent on protecting Bill from his new lady love Poppy, since she could possibly be a murderer! But could there still be a future for Bill and Katie after all this?

“I think when you have two characters that kind of changed each other in such a profound way,” Heather Tom (Katie) confided to Soap Opera Digest. “I mean, Katie was a certain person before Bill came to town and before they had their relationship and then he really changed her worldview. He changed how she saw herself, he changed how she saw what she could accomplish and do, and gave her that confidence and that ambition to go after what she wants. And so he really transformed her, who she is, and her life trajectory. And I think in a lot of ways, she did the same for him”

Bill has made attempts recently to win Katie back but she’s always pushed him away. However, in this situation, Katie is the one being proactive, trying to warn him about his new relationship with Poppy. Could this interest in his welfare inspire Bill to try again with Katie?

“Whenever you have two characters that impact each other in that way, that’s not something that just goes away,” Tom explained. “I think that’s definitely something that is always there between them, and on daytime, especially, that’s something that plays out over many, many years. I think that Katie will always love Bill. That’s just in her. And so I think there is always that potential to rekindle that relationship.”
