The shocking twist that Luna was the one who killed Tom and Hollis on The Bold & The Beautiful was great for fans who never saw it coming, but less so for Steffy, who wound up being held captive by Luna when she stumbled upon the truth! However, for portrayer Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, being drawn into the storyline and having her character forced to fight for her life was a challenge she was excited to tackle.

“I love when I hear that Brad [Bell, B&B’s executive producer and headwriter] is writing Steffy into a predicament,” the actress enthused to Soap Opera Digest. She was also delighted to find out that her character would be the first to solve the whodunnit. “I think because of her history with Sheila,” Wood teased, “Steffy’s superpower might be that she can recognize a sociopath when she sees one.”

Up to this point, Luna was all sweetness and light, but this particular twist has shown a whole new side to the character… and portrayer Lisa Yamada. “Lisa is great,” Wood enthused. “She brings her everything to her performances and she’s a terrific scene partner. There is a lot of give and take and resetting on scenes like these. She plays evil really, really, well.”

Steffy has had a rough life, nearly drowning in a tub, falling off a cliff, crashing her motorcycle, and more. But even though she’s proven herself a survivor, being drugged and locked up in a cage to be killed when the building is demolished is still a terrifying prospect.

“Steffy is desperate,” Wood admitted. “She thinks she’s going to die. She’s also very frightened that Luna is going to drug her again. It’s up on the top three worst moments of Steffy’s life.”

Hopefully, Finn can come to her rescue before it’s too late! Stay tuned to see what happens next!
