B&B’s Scott Clifton Meets the Italian Liam!
When the episodes shot in Italy air on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, fans should keep an eye out for three very special cameo appearances. However, the actors are better known for their voices, and those have only been heard by Italian fans of the soap!
“This may have been the highlight of my entire trip,” Scott Clifton (Liam) declared as he shared some pics of himself posing with the trio of Italian actors. “You may not recognize these faces, but in Italy, these are the voices of Liam, Steffy, and Hope.”
When episodes of B&B air in Italy, Emiliano Coltori dubs the voice of Liam Spencer, Ilaria Stagni performs for Steffy Forrester, and Valentina Mari provides the voice of Hope Logan. “There is a reason the show is so successful overseas,” Clifton noted, “and it’s because of how much time, thought, and care is put into the dubbing.”
For Clifton, the trip to Italy was extra special because on top of being able to tour some of the country’s most famous landmarks, he also finally got the chance to meet his Italian counterpart. “I’d been waiting 13 years to meet Emiliano, specifically,” he confided. “He’s my invisible teammate — literally the other half of my performance in every episode.
“And we connected instantly because how could we not?” Clifton continued. “He knows my habits, mannerisms, and speech patterns better than I do, because he has to study and emulate them every day. It was so fulfilling to bond over this shared identity, and he was gracious enough to answer hours of my obnoxious questions.”
Clifton also enjoyed getting to know the Italian actresses who dub Hope and Steffy, especially when they were all together. “Not to mention the chemistry between the three of them was infectious,” he revealed. “It felt like stepping into a parallel universe. What a thing.”
So remember the faces in these pictures and keep an eye out for them when B&B airs the special episodes they shot in Rome!
