Joe LoCicero Says Goodbye to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL
After the April 6 episode of THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, Vinny is really most sincerely dead, which means that Joe LoCicero’s run on the soap has come to an end. “I’ve loved playing this character,” the actor told Soap Opera Digest. “I had a lot of fun working with Matt [Atkinson, Thomas]. We always had a good time with our scenes. It was just a joy.”
When LoCicero joined the cast in the recurring role of Vincent “Vinny” Walker back in June 2019, he already had a connection to B&B — his wife, Gina Rodriguez, who played Beverly on the soap from 2011-12! “I think she was a little sad that I was going to be off the show because we really enjoyed watching it together,” he confided. “But we were both really glad I had this time on the show. We’re both thrilled that I had this great opportunity. I had such a good time. That cast and crew there is just wonderful. I learned so much. Oh boy! Every time I went to set, I found little ways to improve. I couldn’t be more grateful for this experience.”
The actor also revealed that he didn’t know about Vinny’s shocking demise until just before they shot it! “It wasn’t a lot of notice because they wanted to keep the story a secret,” LoCicero explained. “I actually didn’t know that Vinny switched the paternity test results until like, two days before that episode. They wanted it to be such a big secret that they didn’t even tell me!”
Although Liam thinks he killed Vinny in a hit-and-run, B&B has promised a murder mystery, so it’s more than likely there’s something else going on here. And as Bill attempts to cover up his son’s crime, more information about that night and Vinny’s death could still be revealed. “I do believe I’m done filming,” LoCicero admitted, “but it is a soap opera, so anything is possible!” Stay tuned to see how the mystery unfolds!
