Kelly Kruger Opens up About Her Pregnancy Weight Gain
As a social media influencer, Kelly Kruger (Eva, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL; ex-Mac, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) gives her followers makeup tutorials, recipe ideas, sales deals, and an inside look at her life raising two-year-old daughter Everleigh with hubby Darin Brooks (Wyatt, B&B). Her most recent Instagram share definitely falls into the latter category as the actress — who is expecting the couple’s second daughter — opened up in a heartfelt post about coming to terms with the changes she’s seen in her body during her second pregnancy.
“In my first pregnancy, I gained over 60 pounds,” Kruger confessed. “I didn’t work out much because I couldn’t, and I wasn’t very active in general. I ate pretty healthy but just made a big baby.” The second time around, Kruger figured her weight gain wouldn’t be as high since entertaining Everleigh every day is a full-time job! “I thought there’s no way I will gain close to that with this pregnancy because I am so active chasing around a toddler and working,” she admitted. “But it looks like I’m still on track to gain it.”
Believe it or not, Kruger views the weight gain as a blessing, as it’s an outward sign of the phenomenon taking place inside her body. “I’ll take it,” she continued. “I’m a tiny girl with a tiny frame and it’s a lot of weight to carry around (extra-large, too, for a reason I’ll get into on my stories this week), but I wouldn’t change a thing. Our bodies are incredible. Making these little miracles and then returning to how we were before. I’m in awe and I’m just so grateful to be doing this all over again.”
After asking the mothers on her page what their pregnancy looked like, she reminded her followers that each woman’s body is unique when it comes to growing a tiny human. “I know some people gain like 20 pounds and others 80. No matter what, I think it’s important to remember every body is different, every journey is different, and we need to try to refrain from comparing ourselves to others,” Kruger insisted. “Just remember to enjoy these moments. Just sharing some thoughts on this. 💕💕💕”
Kruger and Brooks announced back in August that they were expanding their family and shared in an adorable gender reveal video in September that Everleigh would be getting a little sister.
