Patrick Duffy and Linda Purl Return to B&B

It’s another Logan family reunion when Patrick Duffy and Linda Purl return to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL as Stephen and Lucy! Last seen in November 2022, the couple will be back on Wednesday, March 22, as first reported in the new issue of Soap Opera Digest.

When the character of Stephen Logan first appeared on B&B, he was played by Robert Pine from 1988 until 2001. The soap then tapped Duffy to take over when they reintroduced the Logan patriarch to the canvas in 2006. The former DALLAS star continued to make appearances on a recurring basis until 2011.

In November 2022, Duffy returned to the soap and brought along real-life girlfriend Purl, who was cast as Stephen’s new love interest, Lucy. The actress actually got her start back in the ‘70s with a role on daytime drama THE SECRET STORM, where she played Doreen. She has also appeared in countless television series and films, including HAPPY DAYS, MATLOCK, and THE OFFICE. Shortly before appearing on B&B, she even enjoyed a short run on ABC sudser GENERAL HOSPITAL as Peyton Honeycutt.

The last time Stephen and Lucy stopped by for a visit, they wound up comforting Brooke, who was upset that Ridge was going to be marrying Taylor that day. However, the couple never exchanged vows, and both Brooke and Taylor decided they’d be better off without Ridge for a while. So what brings Stephen back this time around? Is he just checking in to see how Brooke is doing now that Ridge is back in town, or might there be some new problem to deal with?
