THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL

Preview Patrick Duffy and Dylan Bruce’s New Christmas Movie!

The holiday-themed movies are in full swing over on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, where the feel-good films that are part of the cable network’s annual “Miracles of Christmas” programming event each deal with some sort of highly emotional topic. On Sat., October 30, soap alums Patrick Duffy (ex-Stephen, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL) and Dylan Bruce (Chris, AS THE WORLD TURNS), along with Torrey DeVitto (from CHICAGO MED), grapple with grief and shattered dreams in the world premiere of the original movie A Christmas Promise.

In the emotional film, DeVitto plays Nicole, a woman coping with the unexpected death of her fiancé thanks to some help from her grandfather, Duffy’s Pops. Deciding to sell the dream house she and her fiancé were building. Nicole hires a handsome local carpenter named Joe (played by Bruce) to finish the home renovations. Along the way, Joe also shows Nicole how to rebuild her life. Will Nicole find the courage to heal her broken heart and find true love again?

In a behind-the-scenes video shared by HMM, Bruce promises that A Christmas Promise will be every bit the heartfelt movie that it claims to be. “I like that he brings an energetic, happy spark to the town,” he said of his character. “I’m a sucker for a good love story, and I think the viewers are really gonna like it.”

Duffy immediately connected with the movie’s themes of finding love after loss. The actor’s wife of 48 years, Carlyn, died of cancer in 2017, but the widower has since found love again with actress Linda Purl. “My personal life is tracking with Pops’, which makes it really poignant,” said the B&B and DALLAS alum, adding that A Christmas Promise is a “wonderful” and “heartfelt” film.

“Tragedy binds us and connects us, and you learn to lean on each other,” concluded DeVitto. “And I think that’s the hopeful message: Love is never lost.”

You can watch a preview of A Christmas Promise below. And then tune in on Sat., October 30, at 10 p.m. ET on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries to see DeVitto, Duffy, and Bruce in the inspirational holiday film!
