Rena Sofer Turns Her Hobby Into a Business!

Tags:

In addition to being a talented actress, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Rena Sofer (Quinn) is also a talented artist, and she’s turning her love of pottery into a chance to do some good with the launch of RenaSoferCeramics.com! Fans can purchase items handmade by the soap star and help a worthy cause at the same time!

“I am so excited to announce that I have finally put up my website for everybody to be able to be able to purchase all of the things that I’ve been making the last few years,” Sofer announced in a video she posted to Instagram. “I know a lot of people have been interested in my mugs and some of you have been interested in my incense burners, and I’ve been making a lot of sculpture and a lot of different other kinds of things that people may be interested in, so… if you go to RenaSoferCeramics.com, you will be able to look through what I’ve been making and make your purchases.”

And Sofer is not just running this business for herself. An avid animal lover, she’s donating proceeds of each sale to a worthy cause. “I just want you to know that 10 percent of everything that is sold on my website will be going to animal charities. Rescues, rescue organizations… Obviously, as much as I love ceramics, I also love animals. So please go to the website look through it, see if there’s something you want, and enjoy. Thank you!”

Sofer, who ABC fans remember fondly as Lois on GENERAL HOSPITAL, admitted that as a soap actress, she needed something to fill her downtime in between storylines when she’s not at the studio that much. “I’ve always loved working with my hands but I never worked with clay before,” she admitted on her website. “So I started taking classes at a local studio and one thing led to another!

“As I became more studied in ceramics, I found my own voice in my work and realized that I can marry my three passions for good,” she added. “With acting, ceramics, and animal rescue, I have felt fulfilled in my second phase of life and I want to share that with you.”

So check out Sofer’s website and see if there’s anything you like!
