Sean Kanan Reveals How Deacon Really Feels About Sheila on B&B
When Deacon returned to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, he seemed pretty intent on trying to rekindle things with Brooke, but somehow he’s now ended up in a twisted relationship with Sheila Carter! Although he’d insisted he wanted to turn his life around, with the presumed-dead villain now hiding out in his apartment, he’s found himself reluctantly joining forces with her… and enjoying the side effects!
“It is not ideal with Sheila living at Deacon’s place hiding out from the police, especially with the fact that Sheila is doing her very best not to lay low,” Sean Kanan (Deacon) admitted to Soap Opera Digest. “The thing with Sheila is, she is obviously capable of some horrendous things but she says, ‘I’m not leaving.’ Deacon could have just left his place but the reality is, they started to forge this sexual bond and are actually starting to have feelings for each other, which is beyond crazy but love and crazy go hand in hand a lot of the time.”
Kanan debuted as Deacon Sharpe on B&B back in 2000, left in 2005, stirred up trouble on sister soap THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS from 2009-12, came back to B&B from 2014-17, and then kicked off his current run in October 2021. So over all those years, he’s amassed quite the romantic history in both Los Angeles and Genoa City, never quite finding Ms. Right.
“Deacon can be a bit of a magnet for crazy,” Kanan mused, “but the fact is, Deacon has had his swing at women who are stable, quality women. He had the opportunity to make a life with Bridget and he completely [messed] that up. He probably could have had something with Macy or Jackie. I don’t believe he’s a born loser, but I do think he has done so many things in his past that a lot of doors are slammed in his face.”
