As shocking as it was when Sheila shot Finn in the alley behind Il Giardino, it was even more so when she pulled the trigger again to stop Steffy from calling 911! After taking their valuables to make it look like a robbery, Sheila scurried off and left the pair laying among the trash. Deacon was horrified when he stumbled upon the bodies and immediately called for an ambulance. As the police descend upon the crime scene and the EMTs rush the victims away, anything could happen. “What have we got?” asks one officer, receiving the reply: “Two gunshot victims. Critical.”
“There’s been a shooting,” Ridge announces, his voice cracking. After examining Steffy, Bridget emerges from the room to her family arriving at the hospital desperate for answers and hoping for good news. “Who would do this?” Taylor cries. “What kind of monster would shoot our daughter?” Ridge holds her close as they pray for Steffy to pull through and not join her twin sister, Phoebe, in heaven.
But what of Finn? Sheila prevented Steffy from calling 911 immediately and left them both there to return home to explode with grief as the guilt overtook her. “I killed them both,” she laments. “I killed my own son.” But is she talking to herself or confessing to someone?
