Brooke was heartbroken when Ridge asked her to sign annulment papers to end their marriage. And now he’s already preparing to get hitched again. “You’re really marrying Taylor?” she asks, annoyed. But Ridge is determined to move on from Brooke, getting down on one knee and surprising Taylor with a diamond engagement ring in the room where they hold the Forrester fashion shows.
However, Brooke still doesn’t understand why Ridge dumped her since he won’t actually say the words out loud. And while she suspects Thomas of doing something manipulative to cause the split, she has no idea that Ridge believes she was the one who called Child Protective Services on his son. “Did you do something, Thomas?” she asks him.
But complicating matters even further is that Douglas has figured out that his father used the voice-changing app on his phone to imitate Brooke’s voice and frame her for the CPS call. “What you did was wrong,” the kid accuses Thomas. “Admit it.” But Thomas is determined to get his parents back together again and keep Brooke out in the cold. “Nothing should stop this wedding from going forward,” he informs his son. “Do you understand? Not a word.”
Of course, Douglas isn’t always the best at keeping secrets, as we found when he spilled the beans about seeing Brooke kissing “Santa” on New Year’s! Will Douglas agree to keep his mouth shut this time around or will he expose Thomas’ lies before Ridge and Taylor tie the knot?
