Chene Lawson Returns to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS!
It’s a Hamilton family reunion as Chene Lawson returns to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as Harmony in the episode scheduled to air on Friday, May 5!
Lawson originated the role of Devon’s mother Yolanda “Harmony” Hamilton back in June 2005 and played her until her exit in January 2006. When the character returned to the canvas in October 2011, ALL MY CHILDREN star Debbi Morgan stepped into her shoes to portray her for a year.
Lawson is the creator and star of the scripted podcast series All Things Undone, which is a 2023 Webby Award winner. The series’ second season is coming soon to Audible. The actress has also appeared in numerous short films as well as television series like CAMPUS LADIES, HOLLYWOOD RESIDENTIAL, and NOT TO SAY.
Yolanda was a homeless drug addict who came to live in Genoa City with Devon and his new family, but couldn’t quite get on the right path to get clean and left town soon after. Years later, Yolanda had gotten her life back together and was going by the name of Harmony. She wanted to interrupt Tucker and Ashley’s wedding, but Neil stopped her. Eventually, she made good with those she’d wronged and left town to help her daughter, Ana, with school in New Hampshire.
Harmony came back to Genoa City last time because Tucker had resurfaced, so it’s likely that’s what brings her back again this time around! How will she feel about Tucker and his dogged pursuit of Ashley? Keep watching Y&R to find out!
