THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Classics — Emmy Week

With the Daytime Emmy Awards coming up on Friday, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS is using the week of June 22 to celebrate some of its Emmy-winning talent. These five episodes will feature the performances that won those actors the Daytime Emmy Award that year. Here’s what you can expect to see:

Monday, June 22: Traci is rescued by Danny and Cricket, Nikki’s plan to reunite Victor with his estranged mother, Cora, backfires, and Lauren faces off against Gina. [Beth Maitland (Traci) won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress for this episode, the first Y&R actor to win an Emmy.] (Originally aired June 27, 1984)

Tuesday, June 23: Victor makes a fresh start with Hope and Adam, Malcolm comforts Dru, and viewers are introduced to Cassie. [Eric Braeden (Victor) won Outstanding Lead Actor for his work in this episode.] (Originally aired March 19, 1997)

Wednesday, June 24: Devon struggles with his hearing loss, Jill and Jack fight for control at Jabot, and Victoria crosses the line to help Brad. [Bryton James (Devon) won Outstanding Younger Actor for his performance in this episode.] (Originally aired Oct. 16, 2006)

Thursday, June 25: Jack makes a confession about his marriage to Nikki, Dina makes amends with John, and Jill has a special assignment for Paul and Nathan. [Peter Bergman (Jack) won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor for his performance in this episode.] (Originally aired Nov. 15, 1991)

Friday, June 26: Sharon and Nick are awarded custody of Cassie, Cole romances Ashley, and Neil helps Victor protect Newman Enterprises. [Camryn Grimes won the Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress for her work as Cassie in this episode.] (Originally Aired July 19, 1999)
