Conner Floyd Reveals the Secret of Chance and Sharon’s Chemistry on Y&R

Viewers noticed the sparks between Sharon and Chance on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and it seems like the chemistry between the two lovelorn characters is a direct result of the chemistry between the two actors playing them!

“The more scenes we do, the better we’re getting to know each other,” Conner Floyd (Chance) told Soap Opera Digest of co-star Sharon Case (Sharon). “I mean, she’s an Emmy-winning actress, which is ideal for me to work with someone who I not only look up to, but also inspires me.”

One of the things that Floyd likes best about doing scenes with Case is that the actress is happy to do some prep work on the script before heading to the set to shoot. “Rehearsal time is very limited for everybody,” he admitted, “so it’s nice to get as much time as you can with the other actor or actress to make sure you’re both on the same page.

“I really appreciate how collaborative Sharon is,” the actor added, “because one of my favorite parts about acting is breaking it down with your partner and really trying to find the beats of the scenes. I feel very blessed to be working with her, because she makes me a better actor.”

When Floyd took joined the cast of Y&R as the newest recast of Chance Chancellor in November 2021, he was naturally paired with his wife, Abby. But after their marriage crumbled and she cheated on him, Chance found himself drawn to Sharon. Of course, given recent scenes between Chance and Summer – as well as Nick and Sharon — Chance’s relationship with Sharon could be in for some rough times ahead!
