Being an actor is tough work, but it’s nothing compared to being a mom. And being a working mom is a whole other challenge! But The Young & The Restless star Hayley Erin (Claire) is head over heels in love with her twin daughters, Juno and Maude. She and her husband, Adam Fergus, welcomed the girls back in August 2021 — Maude on the ninth and June on the tenth.

“They’re so good,” Erin enthused to Soaps In Depth. “They’re three, so this house is insane. It’s so hectic, it’s so loud, but it’s so much fun. I mean, the more they converse with me, the more my mind is just blown. They’re like these little people now, and it’s so much fun. Their little imaginations are just exploding and it’s the most amazing experience. And there’s two of them, so it’s fun. They kind of bounce off each other.” (Literally, in the adorable Instagram clip below!)

After exiting the role of Kiki Jerome on General Hospital in 2019, Erin and Fergus tied the knot and moved to his native Ireland. But landing the role of Y&R’s Claire brought the whole family back to the United States.

“We moved back in August of ’23,” Erin revealed. “I was living in Ireland when I did a read for Y&R and when they offered me the role, I was on a plane in less than a week. We packed up our whole house and just a few suitcases. We came over and we stayed with my parents for a few months, which was a great way to have a soft landing and not feel under too much pressure to find a place. So it’s been quite the adventure. Thankfully, my husband Adam and I are both pretty adventurous, so it’s not too bad.”

Adding to the challenge is going back to a regular acting job while also raising twins. “Since I started on Y&R, there’s been a real steep learning curve of what it looks like being a working mom, and it’s so rewarding,” Erin confided. “My life is so full, and I know that these are the years that I am going to look back on and think that I had it all. But when you’re in the weeds, sometimes it’s hard to come up for air and remember to just take a minute, sit back, and enjoy this wild, wild ride.”
