Happy Anniversary to Susan Walters and Linden Ashby!
Please join us in wishing a very happy anniversary to Susan Walters and her husband, Linden Ashby! “37 years (and a day) of dogs and daughters, horses and houses, friends and family, ups and downs… and love,” Walters shared on Instagram. “Happy Anniversary to the one I’m so lucky to be living my life with.”
Walters and Ashby first met back in the ‘80s on the set of the ABC soap LOVING where she played Lorna Forbes and he played Curtis Alden. And both actors appeared at the same time on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS in the early ’00s as Diane Jenkins and Cameron Kirsten. They have two daughters together, Frances Grace and Savannah Elizabeth.
The couple tied the knot on April 19, 1986, after getting engaged in January of that year. And although their courtship was brief, their marriage has stood the test of time. In fact, back in 1996, Ashby surprised his wife on their 10th anniversary by proposing all over again!
“We were all in the kitchen and Linden actually got down on one knee and asked me to marry him again,” Walters recalled to Soaps In Depth. “Savannah was crying, saying she wanted the ring. And Grace’s eyes were so big. ‘Grace, what should I say?’ I asked. She was like, “Yes! Say yes!’”
So congratulations on 37 years together, and here’s to a lifetime more!
