Don’t be confused when you see a new Imani on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS! And don’t worry, because the recast is only temporary. Due to scheduling conflicts with another project, Leigh-Ann Rose will temporarily be replaced with Denise Boutte beginning with the episode airing on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
Boutte might be familiar to some soap fans as she played the recurring role of Danielle back on DAYS OF OUR LIVES in 2007. She also played Sasha on MEET THE BROWNS, Lara in STAN AGAINST EVIL, Jasmine on BRONX SIU, and Raven on THE FAMILY BUSINESS. Viewers might also have seen her in films like Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married?, For Love or Money, and Christmas With My Ex. The actress also does voice work for the animated series YOUNG JUSTICE and will be appearing in the upcoming thrillers The Missing and Angie’s Cure.
Rose debuted as Amanda’s newfound sister, Imani, back in December 2019, and after all the family drama was wrapped up and their grandfather, Sutton, was finally imprisoned for causing the death of Amanda’s father, the two siblings went into business together. Of course, Imani is a pot stirrer, and has been making moves on Nate, despite the fact that he’s not single!
There were no additional details regarding how many episodes Boutte will be appearing in, but it shouldn’t be for very long and Rose will be back as Imani as soon as she wraps the other project. But this means there will be no interruption to Imani’s dogged pursuit of Nate, so keep watching Y&R to see how it all plays out!
