James Hyde Cast on The Young and The Restless!

Diane is going to have to deal with yet another man from her past showing up in Genoa City because James Hyde is joining the cast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS in the newly-created role of Jeremy Stark! The soap teased that Jeremy has a connection to Diane Jenkins from her time away. “I’m so happy to be part of this iconic show,” Hyde declared on Instagram after the news had broke. “My first air date is Friday, Oct. 21. Can’t wait for you to see what happens!”

Hyde has plenty of experience in daytime drama, having played Neil Johanssen on NBC sudser ANOTHER WORLD back in 1997, but he is probably best known for portraying the heroic Sam Bennett on PASSIONS for the soap’s entire run from 1999-2008.

Outside of daytime, Hyde starred as Martin Ross in the Netflix series MONARCA and has a recurring role in the upcoming third season of the Telemundo telenovela LA REINA DEL SUR. He can also be seen in TV movies like The Good Mother, Finding Emma, and Prisoner of Love as well as in episodes of primetime series like CSI and RUSH HOUR.

Since returning to Genoa City very much alive, Diane has been trying to keep her time away under wraps. But with the recent return of Tucker McCall (now played by Trevor St. John), and Nikki having dug up some dirt during a visit to her ex, Deacon Sharpe, in Los Angeles, her skeletons are about to come tumbling out of the closet. And Jeremy is definitely going to be playing a role in the drama that ensues!
